Sparklee signature

I have been playing round on Sparklee.com to make this bling signature for my posts. Love Sparklee and they let you do this for free if you have the sparklee.com added to it. So I have sparklee.com added. Real glad I let it added as I have gone back a few times to make different signatures and sparklie text. Check them out for yourselves.

Clam Shell Box for a man

I wanted to do a mans clamshell box to see what I came up with. I used the clam shell box design and have used Always Artichoke and More Mustard papers with the totally tools stamp set from StampinUp. I spritzed it with silver spritz to make it look old. Added faux stitching to the corners and handles and brads in Always artichoke. The stamps are stamped on very vanilla cardstock and hand cut and coloured with blender pens and ink pads adding basic grey and not quite navy to the colours above.

Elongated pillow box

Julia from Julias Cards is my upline in SU. She is a wonderful designer and is always coming up with intriguing ideas. This is the pressie she gave me at Regionals it is an elongated pillowbox. It was filled with pineapple lumps but as the label says" so much chocolate so little time"

Cupcake cards and box

A box of cards. These cards are only 2 inches square and they are soo cute. We made them art Regionals last weekend along with the box to put them in.

Top Note Die Draws

Over at Crafters anonymous we have a Monday night online course wher we make something we havent seen with instructions given to us via the chat. This has some interesting results and makes one realise how important communication is. I have often quoted

“I know that you believe you understand what you think I said, but I'm not sure you realize that what you heard is not what I meant.”

I think of this so often when I am doing the online class and it makes me realise when teaching it is so important to be able to communicate so people underwstand what it is they need to do.

This Monday we made a top note die set of draws. I didn't quite get them how they were supposed to be but I loved the way they turned out and the person I gave them to will enjoy them as in each draw I put 3 jokes to make her laugh. I hope you enjoy looking at my little set of draws.
The cardstock is real red from SU and the rose is made from the owl punch and the 2 scallop punches.

Cute Wee Bag

Although not SU papers the flower on this was made with the Stampin Up punches of the Owl punch and the scalloped circle. Inked with SU Early expresso and Daffodil delight. The leaves are from the 2 step bird punch.

A Mini Album with envelopes

Over at Crafters Anonymous we have Monday night classes, on line, learning all sorts of things. Last Monday we made a mini album with Julia Leece and here are my pics of what I made. This little Album will be entitled Me and Grandpa and I will be giving it to my DH for his birthday. How I decorated this album- Before putting the album together I decided I wanted to use the SU roller wheels and used a roller wheel baroque border with real red roller ink cartridge in. I used the rulers that you can get from SU to make sure the roll was nice and straight. I really like the way the roller wheel turned out. With the journaling I used the extra large round tab to cut a place in the top of the envelope and used a tab from the same punch to add to my journaling page to slide my page in and out.

Punch art Bunny

I saw this little bunny on something someone had made and just couldn't resist making one. She is made of a large circle and large and small oval punches. I have inked the edges of the pink. The pads I inked in early expresso and the ears I inked in Pretty in pink. The eyes and mouth are drawn on by me and the nose is a small circle. I do think she is very cute coming up to easter.

Clam Shell box

This is the top of the box. I closed it with eyelets which I threaded ribbon through.

The side I embellished with flowers from the SU boho blossoms punch with an eyelet through. I did the eyelets last and should have done them before I put the flowers on the box. On the inside of the box I used another SU punch to scallop the inside box at the top and put in some sweet things.

This is a Clam shell box we did on Monday night at Crafters Anonymous.

This is a little different from another one I have also seen and slightly easier. I decided to embellish it with eyelets and got my centre wrong on one of them. I do like little boxes and this one is such a surprize.

A Little Thank you gift bag

I wanted to say thank you to my boss. She generously allowed me to do a study day and worked on the ward so I could go. I wrote her a poem and made her this little box which I put in 4 little bags of multi coloured chocolate drops and 2 coffee bags.
the poem went like this:
To xxxxx
Thank you, doesn’t seem enough,
When you went through, all that stuff
Just so I could say,
“I’ve done a culture safety day”.

I heard you worked into the night,
Because the staffing was so tight,
And then came back at 3am to say,
I’ll help out until its day.

I’ve spent time and made you a gift
In the hope it will give you a lift,
And to let you know, I appreciate
All the trouble you went to, on that date.
