Tauranga- The (not for) christmas cracker

Now doesn't he look cute!

and that sparklie eye as well.

close up of bird

close up of edge punched

When I bring things home to do, they get changed. This christmas cracker was a triangle shape originally and had more ribbon and a different sentiment and a different embossing folder and edge punch! Well lets say I did use the shimmer paper! and somewhat adapted pattern. The embossing folder & edge punch are from the new December mini. I love my bird punch and couldn't resist puting a bird and flowers on it.

Top note die album Tauranga Extravaganza

As a demonstrator at the Tauranga Extravaganza I got to take home the projects that were made to do at home. This means I put my own slant on them. I noticed the top note die album when opened, the points hit each other so I added a spine which is the cherry cobler with white dots from the Jolly Holly DSP. I edged the sentiment with the heart edge punch which is coming in the new mini catalogue on Dec 1st. I inked the edge with early expresso, and made an owl to go on the front as its an album for my grandaughter as I am a night owl. You will see I have embossed the front of the owl with a starburst and put the heart in the middle as my heart bursts with love for my wee grandaughter. you can see in the last pic that I spritzed it with gold spritz again new in the Dec mini.
Should you wish to order any StampinUp products email me with your order.

StampinUp DSP - Christmas Star

I learnt how to make this awesome christmas star on Crafters Anonymous. I spritzed it with gold spritz but it doesn't show in the pic. This is an awesome star and stands about 10inches high. Made with Jolly Holly DSP from SU

Two new Stamp sets from StampinUp

I got some stamp sets. This one I really love its called "loads of love" and I just love the pick up truck so I made a real quick card for one of the girls at work. Using scrap paper and the corner and border punch from SU she just loved it.

This is a hostess set that I took a few minuts to really appreciate but then when I used it I just loved it. Again made in a few minutes from scrap card as a trial, using the masking technique this set is called "Because I care"

A Card swap

I entered a Card swap. We were given partners and had to send them 3 cards made from the same stamp set. Oh awesome I will use the Snow Swirled I love that set and have just got it it looks so pretty for christmas. Then oh oh my partner is the most awesom cardmaker ever and I haven't been so well and just trying to think of things for her was a headache as she is so good. Well here goes this is what I came up with:-

#1 This is a gatefold card but it is how it opens that is the challenge. It seems a plain card but I find it very pretty

# 2 This is a box card. when closed it mimics the gatefold card but when you open it it is a little box. In the box I have popped up the tree and this sits out from the back of the card and the snowflakes hang from the top of the card into the space in front of the tree. The snowflakes move with just a small breeze so look quite pretty.

# 3 The outside of this card is plain but quite pretty but lift the card and you find the Penguins christmas. Sparkly snow flakes with trees that are popped out from the background and penguins jumping off their perch heading for the island of Seasons Greetings. The penguins were made with punches circles and hearts. The stamp set is Snow Swirled.

Hope you liked the cards.

Envelope Card/Pouch

This is a lovely way to wrap up a gift card or something similar. It ios made by using a long envelope although you can use an envelope of any size. The Punchs used are the butterfly punch and the eyelet border punch and the stamp set is Every Moment. The sentiment is on a sizzlet cut out.

Tulip Card with Punches

This is a card made with StampinUp punches. The oval, the scallop round, the 2 step bird punch and I have rolled the leaves through the crimper. Sponging the edges has given it more dimention.

Welcome

Well I have decided I need to post all my StampinUp goodies I make on a specific blog for them so watch out! I will be trying to do this in the next short while.
